Description
‘Wounded healer,’ is a term created by psychologist Carl Jung, who said that an analyst is compelled to treat patients because the analyst himself/herself is “wounded.” Inspired from the Greek Mythology, the myth of Chiron (the wisest Centaur), was once inflicted with a severe physical wound; in his way to recovery, he found the goal of being a “Teacher of Healing.” Wise people believed that healing is not a process between the healer and the wounded; instead, it is a process of two equals – the teacher does heal the wounds, but the one who orchestrates it is the healer’s own experience of healing.
This 2 – day workshop delves into the abyss of the healer, wounded from childhood traumas; suppressed of his/her own self-expression, dealing with dis-ease or loss and caught up by his/her projection and self-doubt and transending all these emotions into a powerhouse of possibilities and the ability to live as the Teacher of Healing.
